RACHMADEWI SJAHESTI
Rachmadewi Sjahesti has been entrusted as the PIC (Person in Charge) of the Internal Inspection Division at IDClear since December 2023 and continues in this role. Holding a Bachelor's degree from the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at Gadjah Mada University, Central Java, and a Master's degree from the Faculty of Management at Paramadina Graduate School, DKI Jakarta, she began her career at IDClear in 1998 and has been with the organization ever since. Throughout her career, she has undertaken roles such as Staff in the Securities Lending and Repo Unit, Staff in the Risk Management Unit, PIC Head of the Securities Lending and Repo Unit, and PIC Head of the Corporate Risk Monitoring and Reporting Unit.
Role of the Internal Inspection Unit
The Internal Inspection Unit plays a role in providing inspection services (assurance), consultation (advisory), insights, and forward-looking perspectives that are independent, objective, and risk-based to enhance value and improve company operations. This is done through a systematic approach by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and corporate governance processes.
Duties of the Internal Inspection Unit
- Directing, coordinating, and monitoring the internal inspection process in areas such as development, operational business, finance, information technology, and other areas, as well as evaluating the inspection results to assess the adequacy of internal controls, efficiency, and the effectiveness of the organization and its governance processes.
- Conducting reviews and providing recommendations, insights, or perspectives in the form of consultation activities. These activities include supporting external audits and internal support to the Board of Directors/divisions as clients, with the goal of improving the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance processes, including in business development or other areas.
- Ensuring compliance with reporting requirements for the initiatives of the Internal Inspection Unit and inspection activities to the Audit Committee periodically, in order to ensure continuous improvement in the company in line with Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) principles.
- Ensuring that IDClear's management complies with company activities in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG), the Capital Market Law, and other applicable regulations.
