Trading Debt Securities and Sukuk

The Alternative Market Organizer System (SPPA) is a trading platform for the secondary market for Debt Securities and Sukuk in Indonesia. This SPPA is a service provided by the Indonesian Stock Exchange as an Alternative Market Organizer (PPA) based on the mandate of POJK No.8/POJK.04/2019 concerning Alternative Market Organizers.

Apart from SPPA, there is another system used for reporting Debt Securities and Sukuk transactions, known as the Centralized Trading Platform - Securities Transaction Report Recipient (CTP-PLTE). CTP-PLTE is an electronic system, which can be used as a means of trading and reporting debt securities transactions. SPPA has been integrated with CTP-PLTE, so that SPPA Service Users who transact via SPPA, their transactions are automatically reported in the CTP-PLTE system.

2019The Financial Services Authority (OJK) issued Financial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) Number 8/POJK.04/2019 concerning Alternative Market Operators (PPA). Based on the POJK, the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) has been determined by the OJK to be able to act as a PPA. As a PPA, BEI developed an Electronic Trading Platform (ETP) for trading Debt Securities and Sukuk (EBUS) in the Secondary Market.

2020

In November 2020, PT Bursa Efek Indonesia (BEI) launched the Electronic Trading Platform (ETP) system phase 2 for trading Debt Securities and Sukuk (EBUS) in the Secondary Market which was later named the Alternative Market Organizer System (SPPA). Securities Trading Regulations through the Alternative Market Organizer System (SPPA) are regulated in the Decree of the Directors of PT Indonesia Stock Exchange number Kep-00093/BEI/11-2020.

2022
BEI has terminated the Fixed Income Trading System (FITS) trading system services approved by OJK through OJK Letter Number S-61/D.04/2022. This will also be accompanied by the repeal of FITS-related regulations starting April 3, 2023.
